Kellogg turns back time with limited edition retro packaging

Jul 18, 2013

Kellogg Australia is giving Aussie parents a chance to relive childhood memories with the launch of a limited edition range of retro packaging this August.

In a nod to years gone by, some of Australia’s most iconic cereal favourites; Kellogg’s Corn Flakes, Rice Bubbles, Nutri-Grain and Coco Pops, will be given a retro makeover next month. The limited edition range will feature vintage pack designs and original versions of characters including Snap, Crackle and Pop.

These cereal classics have been on shelves for decades:

1924 – Corn  Flakes
1929 – Rice Bubbles
1959 – Coco Pops
1973 – Nutri-Grain

Patricia Kresojevic, Shopper Activation Manager for Kellogg’s, believes the packs will excite consumers and evoke feelings of nostalgia.

“The Nutri-Grain packs are based on designs from the 80s and will appeal to the latest generation of parents who grew up during this time and will recognise the cereal pack that used to sit on their breakfast table when they were kids,” she says.

Patricia continues, “Kellogg’s has been providing breakfast options to families for more than 80 years and revisiting the pack designs of some of our oldest brands is just another way of celebrating our heritage. We hope the packs will help transport Aussie parents back to their childhood days.”

These limited edition retro packs will be on shelf in IGA stores nationally from August.

Participating packs include:

Corn Flakes 150g
Rice Bubbles 170g
Nutri-Grain 200g
Coco Pops 255g
